GPMagnet New Features

Now GPMagnet includes powerful new features. These include the Spin Orbit Torques (Spin Hall Effect and Rashba) and the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya Interaction (DMI).

Below you will find some videos that we have prepared using these new features of the GPMagnet micromagnetic simulator.

"Crazy" Skyrmions:

Effect Of Boundary Conditions on Skyrmions Lattice.
Skyrmions Lattice in MnSi obtained with Bulk Boundary Conditions is changed numerically to Periodic Boundary Conditions.

Skyrmions "Gun":

Skyrmion generation and moving by Spin Transfer Torque (STT) in a microstripe of MnSi.
Bulk Boundary Conditions are applied and demagnetizing field is considered.

Skyrmions Periodic Lattice moving by STT:

Skyrmions Periodic Lattice in MnSi moving by Spin Transfer Torque (STT).

Domain Wall motion by SHE including DMI:

Domain Wall motion by means of Spin Hall Effect (SHE) including Dzyalonshinkii-Moriya Interaction (DMI).
Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy material is used. Mz component is shown.
The initial configuration is up-left-down neel domain wall and external field is applied in Y direction.
